About The Artist
Born in Quito, Ecuador in 1997, Horst Wegener presently works as a rapper, songwriter and film producer in Wuppertal. With his debut LP “Mein Name ist Horst”, released via Samy Deluxe’s label KunstWerkStadt in 2018, Horst Wegner gained national and international attention. He is the founder of the film production company WUPPERwerft and the publishing edition WUPPErwerft at SONY ATV. Since 2019 Wegener is a curator of the “Sound of the City” festival for the Wuppertal Opera.
